A recital program of characters brimming with life - pathos and humor...

Collaborating with tenor and pianist, Robert Frankenberry, in her Mercyhurst faculty recital "Wit and Wisdom", Katherine created colorful, vivid, and evocatively rich characters from musical theatre and opera.  

The spitfire Rosina from Rossini’s Barber of Seville, the impassioned Santuzza from Cavelleria Rusticana, and Bizet’s seductive Carmen to Menotti’s desperate Magda from The Consul, Bernstein's outrageous Old Lady from Candide and his love-deprived Dinah in her inebriated day-dream from Trouble in Tahiti.

Plus Stephen Sondheim’s love-infatuated Sally and bitter Phyllis from Follies and the Witch’s wisdom from Into the Woods.
